Exercises of Cognitive physiotherapy
Education at the Karolinska Institute. Graduated as physiotherapist 1995.
Employee of the University Department of Rehabilitation medicine, Stockholm since graduation.
Before becoming a physiotherapist, I was a fully educated actor (Stockholm 1986, Teaterhögskolan). Professionally working 5 years at different theatres in Sweden.
Acting demands a special inner perspective on attention. This is why the cognitive aspects of brain injury is a special interest. A performing actor needs all aspects of internal and external attention continuously running, which means that attentional demands are experienced every second of presence on the stage. Impro is probably the highest form of this extreme attention, since, much has to be taken in and immediately reacted to.
